Well I have this 89 hatch that I've had since January and like an idiot I never checked the oil and you think I would have learned my lesson after owning how many of these cars now. Anyhow I needed gas the one day and I started to pull into a gas station when the engine started to seize. It made it's death shriek as I was pulling off the road so I went in and grabbed a couple of quarts of oil. I put the oil in and from that moment in time it just knocked and tapped. Well stupidly I took the car on a hour long trip and right before the exit I needed to get off at the engine exploded at 70 MPH. I towed the car home and saw this after I tore the head off...
