| Post subject: | slave cylinder dead? |
Before my clutch slave cylinder ran out of fluid, I bled the lines, added new fluid. I just started the car, pushed down the clutch but no resistance at all, I looked under the hood and there was no fluid, I looked at the slave cylinder and there is what looks like oil comming out of where the rubber piece is. Is my slave cylinder done? what could it be? |

Yep. Get a new slave cylinder. |

And replace the master cylinder at the same time, because it's been overextended trying to act on the slave cylinder which was just leaking the hydraulic pressure. If you replace just the slave, chances are you'll be stuck somewhere with a failed master cylinder. Tom |
