ok here goes... i have a 1987 dodge colt E it has a original 57,000 miles on it. the eninge is a 1.5 liter 4G15 with a 2 barrel carb. i have done just about all the cosmetic mods with this car available, all i want to know is can i do a 2.0 4G63T swap in my car? i can junk all underhood parts ( father used to be a mechanic for 22 years) and start fresh again. the only reason i want to do this is everyone and they're mother thinks it's slow. i just want to blow the doors of some loud mouth kids around.

It can be done, but its not easy. You'll need lotsa custom bits to get it in there plus a bit of 'gentle persuasion' is necessary on some of the body parts to make a decent transaxle fit.

BTW - dont forget you'll need serious upgrades for your brakes and suspension.

Bump, I'm very interested also. Is there a member or any threads off the top anyone has that could shine some light on the situation? Mainly engine/Suspension swap info.

I've searched countless word phrases and come up with nothing. Thanks in advance!

The above link has some information on odd 4g63 swaps. Mostly RWD related which may be useful for you  . They have some really odd swaps into older cars that might help a little. I don't think I have seen one specific to this year car though.
