There is a blue (I think) wire coming from the distributor. Do a search please, that topic was already covered. There was even a pic posted in that thread. 8)

According to the mitchell it should be black/white from the ditributor, after the noise filter it should be white. If that dosn't sound right, let me know. I know I had to tap mine for my autostart in the car outside.

The black doesn't work, at idle it indicate 7500rpm and go down with acceleration

If you can check it will be very appreciated! :)

OK, it's true, the search is not easy on this subject

I installed one on a 93 colt, you need to unscrew the wiring harness protector from the intake manifold, then open it to expose the wire....there's 2 white wire, it's one of those, I can't tell you which one because they are identical

good luck
bye

You can pull it off an injector wire, or one of the power wires to the coil

It's a blue wire with a white spade connecter on the end. It hangs loose at the firewall. No need to unscrew anything. I think I have a photo somewhere, I'll try to dig it up...

The stock "white" tacho wire pulls its signal off the coil +ve through a filter from memory. Make sure you cut the correct wire as if my memory serves me the other "white" wire is the O2 sensor and is shielded coaxial cable. Dont cut that or you may mess up the signals coming from your O2 sensor (it should be thicker than the other one) and it is difficult to repair effectively.

Acutally Im pretty sure you should also be able to find the white tacho wire in the harness behind the instrument cluster.
