So this is what I've been up to...

I put in all brand new Alpine Type-S Speakers for the 'ummit, replacing those POS factory ones. The difference is AMAZING.

I painted some of my dash RED to match the exterior, now I feel like a Hon-duh guy, and am thinking about changing it back to BLACK. A little to ricy for me.

Installed white face guages for the stock 1.5L with no tachometer. I must say, although they look totally awesome, they are also a little ricy for my taste. Am going to change them out soon, probably.

FINALLY installed one of the mods I've wanted to do for the longest time, THE BMW HEADLIGHT CONVERSION! Totally awesome. Except, I totally had to make my own brackets, if you can even call it that. I just bent a 1" wide piece of steel, drilled some holes here and there, and PRESTO! My BMW headlights aim WAY TO HIGH! I've gotta fix that...

So as you can see, cosmetic stuff is on LOCK-DOWN. Here's what I've got planned:

Replace the ricy white guages w/out tach WITH Gage's (R.I.P.) old 1.6L gauges, WITH a tachometer. They work with the 1.5L, right? Ordering tommorow, hopefully.

Swap my headrests with some Turbo headrests. Small little cosmetic thing, but darkhorse is letting them go for cheap.

HOPEFULLY install a 1.8L Throttlebody on the 'ummit, BERSERKO said it makes an incredible difference.

Wish me luck in things to come,

-jd

Alright:

-The main piece that houses the radio and temp. controls.
-All the vents on the left side and right side
-The main vent above the temp. controls trim piece (The one up there^)
-Gauge cluster surroud, removed the "hazard" and "rear window defrost" pieces
-The trim piece that holds the dimmer switch to the left of the steering column.

I think that's it, it basically is the whole dash except for the clock, which I haven't gotten around to, and I don't think I am going to do.

It's very easy, about 5-10 quick coats of KRYLON FUSION paint, Pepper red, waiting roughly 10-15 minutes between each coat. Allow to dry for 24 hours for a hard finish that won't be vulnerable to fingerprints!

Looks awfully ricy, lol.

Oh man, you weren't joking about headlights aiming high. :)

Were all 4G15 cars coming with no-tach gauges, up there in the States?

The headlight conversion looks pretty good. Polish out those lens covers though!

I got a pretty crappy pair. But, I polished them up for what they are worth, and plan on maybe upgrading to HID's, but I'll probly just get some fake HID blue bulbs instead

Thanks for the positive comments.
