A friend just mentioned today, when I was asking what next to do to my car, and he said "get a chip."

Do they even make chips for the 4g15?

If they do, link/pic/price?

Only a few fabled 4G15 ECU "MAY" have received a socketted Eprom chip setup; every other one you will ever see has no provisions for a socketted chip setup without some heavy modding and no one has done the leg work to fully realise this setup and who is also willing to also share it too! Just upgrade to a 4G61(I think you can chip that? don't quote me though!) or 4G63 and chip the ECU (one that has the provision anyways).

Pretty much end of story unfortunately. :-?

No chips for the 4G15. You can upgrade to a 4G37 ECU. It's plug and play.
Other than that, I've thought about installing a 4G63 ECU on a 4G15. This would mean one could use the 60 mm TB off the 4G63 and that nice waste spark system. 8) The crank angle sensor and TDC-sensor signals can be fed off the 4G15's dissy. :D

so thats what you do for the swap? sorry for off topic. but you just take the crank angle sensor signal wire from the disstributor and feed it to the or splice it to the cam angle sensor wire on the turbo motor. for when converting from 4g15 to 4g63t.?????

Ed-

again sorry for OT

Well, basically yes. The 4G15 already has a crank angle sensor and cam position sensor, so you can use those wires.
I think the swap gods still swap in the complete 4G63T wiring harness.
