a few pics for the 2nd gen guys

I really need to figure out what radiator and intercooler to use.. any of you have any recommendations?

I am wondering about the Scirocco radiator....or is that only a good fit for third gen cars?

Thanks,
Craig

Looks as if you have many options for both. evo 8 cooler and a thicker civic rad. for clearance on the turbo and wastgate.

Odd angle in the core support may add to the problem and give you some issues. But a narrower RAD will solve the issues. Think....Thick but narrow. :P

Look for a stock 87/88 turbo radiator. They are half size 2 core units and are made out of brass. It may bolt up nice and it'll have to correct hole for a mitsu rad fan sensor. They'll bolt up on the passenger side.

I had a audi rad in my c13. I had to cut out the center section, the one that runs up and down between the lower and upper rad support. But it fit well. It started to leak, and I now mounted up a 4g CSM 1.5L single core rad, it doesnt fit between the upper and lower rad supports like the audi one did, but its still thin enough to clear my alt. There's room up front of these cars, unlike the later 3rd gen. I have a mazda IC and pusher fan behind the full bumper. (With a 4g6x in there there's less room, I'm still running the stock g32b turbo engine)

Your wagon is rare; treat it well and don't cut it up. If you cut out that center horizontal section you'; have to get creative because it holds the hood catch/release. Those are Starion wheels on you wagon right?

yes, Starion rims. I'll check into the 87-88 radiator

I don't plan on cutting the car up

thank you for the input,
Craig

any other suggestion...please keep them coming. I don't know specifics about DSMs or CSMs...at all really. I work on cars all the time but they happen to be Civics, Crxs and a Miatas

I'm glad to see my account is still active after so long. :)

Seeing the wagon with a 4G63 nearly brought tears to my eyes. Well done, sir.
