Anybody have a picture of the driverside axle? I ordered one but my dad said its not the right thing. My dad said when we took out the driver side it was kinda two pieces and the driver's side is noticably longer. But when i compared the driver's side advanced auto got me and the passenger side they ordered, they looked identical. Is there system wrong? WHat does the drivers side look like?

Well, I don't feel like crawling in the mud tonight to confirm this, but I'm fairly sure the C-10's (at least the later model ones) had equal length driveshafts to help cut down on the torque steer. To have both drive shafts be the same length, but the transmission still be situated considerably closer to one wheel than the other, an intermediary shaft is utilized. This is nothing more than a straight shaft that acts as an extension of the transmission without decreasing torque over the increased distance. This intermediary is reusable, since it has no bearings to go out (the bearings are what fail 99.9% of the time when a Driveshaft craps out). Thus, there is a chance both driveshafts are the same length. Again though, I'd have to go crawl under mine to confirm this, and that just ain't gonna happen tonight. But, you can just look at the old one in your own to confirm this. The intermediary always bolts to the engine block at some point along it's length, so look for that. If it dosen't attach to the block at any point, they're likely unequal length.
