Engine mounts used: 91-95 hyundai elantra 1.8 manual rear mount and engine bracket, and timing belt side mount. Rear mount cross member holes had to be hogged out to suit elantra motor mount. Front mount is stock colt and G32b bracket. Tranny mount is stock colt and dsm fwd bracket. Cv shafts used are stock colt . My motor is off a 90 dsm which had the halfshaft driver side. So far it all buttons up good. Wiring looks to be pretty straight forward. Now it's on to do the plumbing. Fit oil cooler. Figure out shifters. Fit in rad. For now I am keeping power steering. Gotta look into a non power steering rack. More to come. |

Its finally running. Now i can clean up wiring inside the cabin. I had a issue wih the alternator wiring where i couldnt stop the engine and it was putting out 18-19v. It turns out the dsm and colt alternators operate differently. I had to wire it as a dsm alternator, had to add the relay(which is really a resistor diode combo). Now i can move the battery to the trunk, order ecmlink, and redo intake piping and plumb in intercooler and piping. Pictures to follow. Much thanks to Oscar, aka miragesist. |

For the rad hoses I had to use a stock 4g61t Stat housing with no rad cap. It has a better angle to allow upper rad hose to fit. Upper rad was modified to 1-1/4" outlet instead of the 1". Upper rad hose used was whatever I found at parts supplier that had the bends close to what I needed and cut to suit. Lower rad hose was simply a dayco 20" flex coil hose. |

Alternator issue addressed. I had the alternator looked at and it needed a new regulator. Used stock wiring, but had to add the dsm alternator relay which is actually a diode and resistor. That is what allows the engine to turn off. |

Motor running without intercooler. Battery needs to be relocated to make room for some neat intercooler piping. |
