Hey there

I'm looking for the two little springs (flyweight springs or whatever its called) that sits inside the distributor. I have a "new" distributor with 90k kms. Finally after long months of searching, I have a working original two-port distributor advance out from a same distributor. If I set my ignition timing to 3+-2 BTDC, then accelerating with barely pressed pedal -> engine clanks (however its barely noticable), pressing it harder or flooring it -> car jerks badly. My idea is that it could be the two springs which are stretched/worn. Here it is impossible to get spare parts, maybe overseas theres a little chance. If anyone has a new pair of them, it would be great to send it for me in an envelope or something.

Here's a pic for a Lada 2101 ignition graph, axis Y means ignition timing BTDC, axis X means engine rpm. I need a similar data for a G15B Colt/Mirage engine. http://www.zsiguli.hu/images/cikk312_1_rugo1.gif

Recently I thrown out one of the two catalytic converters, and got a new custom exhaust manifold. I dont know if theres a need to set the mixture for this scenario. Thanks in advance.

(Last seen a C10 here was 1,5 years ago :) )

What engine? What year of car are you looking for?

OK, so I googled a little, and learned that my ignition points have to be set on a regular basis. I guess no one ever did this, and my ignition timing curve is absolutely wrong causing this whole mess... I found a pic in a book for a 4g15 ignition curve:

Unfortunately no numeric values.. but maybe one can read it.
Gyujtasszog means Ignition degrees; Terheles = Load; Fordulatszam = RPM;

I will see if I can find something for you.

Just to be clear, this is a carb engine? I Canada we got the c10 cars until 1992 and depending on the year some where MPI like the 3G CSM.
