Okay, pulled off the old manifold and compared it to the '86 manifold I got from California. Guess what? They're identical. Which means I had the right manifold all along, rather than an '84 as was indicated by its previous owner.

So I started looking for other things that weren't right, and I noticed that the compressor housing has TC04-9 cast into it.

Well, I said to myself, that ain't right. It's definitely a TD04 cartridge with the coolant lines, but that casting ID has me concerned. Is there a difference in the compressor housing between a TC and TD? I still haven't found what the heck is keeping a proper radiator from going in, and that's about the last thing I can think of.

Help!

EDIT: Also found out that cylinders 1, 3, and 4 have leaking exhaust valve stem seals. Oil literally poured out of the manifold and exhaust ports. Fun.

Son of a biscuit. The problem is the compressor housing. Thanks to drcolt2000's webshots collection, I found this: http://community.webshots.com/sym/image ... QRs_fs.jpg which looks nothing like my housing.

So, if anyone needs a TC04 housing, or has a G32B TD04-9b compressor housing laying around, please let me know!
