I'd love to have a try at getting the most power I can out of the 32B, and i may yet get a chance. I'm putting my 32B engine into my proton, and then getting a 63T for the Colt.

It'll take me years, but I could guess at 180bhp being not too difficult to get out of the 32B engine without changing turbo or pistons. I'd change things like exhaust, air filter, MPi inlet manifold and custom engine management system and cams. Whether the engine would handle Nitrous after that is something I will probably never find out!

"how much money you wanna spend on a g32b?"

maybe up to a 1000? i'm not sure. it's sort of a backburner project at the moment( like most of my projects!). what are some of the cheapest and most effective upgrades? it looks like a conquest/starion TB might fit, would that do any thing? what about a bigger intake tube or an intercooler? i can do most of the work myself, so i can save some money there.

The 9b seemed to crap out at 14psi, so you cant boost it too much past that.
The basics are a must, 2.5" turbo back exhaust, K&N air filter, and of course, if you are gonna be boosting, an IC is a must.

the starion IC is the same size as the colts, its identical as far as i can measure the two up side by side.
the starion has a bigger primary injector, its an 850cc, as compared the colt's 480's. The starion mafs is a little bigger than the colts, but its only the air bypass tubes, not sure what its called(above the honeycomb metered area.)

the starion pieces, injector, maf and ecu all plug in and work, but you will need an AFC to smooth things out.

Upgrading the igntion coil is almost a must too.
All this should get you some extra power, and should keep you happy for a while.

I am almost thinking a better power upgrade path is go straight to a custom ex. manifold, and upgrade the turbo to something bigger. Over the summer i will be making an adaptor plate for a 14b to mate to the stock ex. manifold, i will post later how it will work.

that's what i was thinking, maybe put a eclipse 14G on it. the metal intake tube running from the turbo to the TB is tiny! there's got to be room for improvement there. how much boost could you run before upgrading headgasket and head bolts? how about body kits or air dams? any out there?

Head bolts should never be reused cause they stretch. Ive always reused them, so far, ive been lucky.

If you use an oem HG, you should be able to run higher boost levels, i wont quote any boost numbers. but if the head is torqued on properly, using new head bolts/studs and mitsubishi HG, i cant see a problem with high boost.

Body kits, no longer avail. Urban used to make a kit, but we are shit out of luck(SOL). I guess you have to get creative. I sized up a sideskirt off an 89 suzuki swift GT, and it will fit the colt with very little customizing. Also, i think its called the phantom, or black widow kit for a 99-2000 civic coupe, fits the c10 as well, but the Left and right skirts have to be reversed on the colt, L on R, and R on L. The front bumper covers for the civics are most likely transferable. I havent measured that yet. Basically, the c10 owners have to get creative for ground effects.

for air dams, you have various choices, you can pick up a 2002 stang GT hood scoop, or the 2002 grand am GT, subura wrx, or you can make your own!!! Pontiac firefly's used to have them way back in the day, 1988-1989?!?, also, the 85-87 nissan 300zx turbo had scoops.

you can get creative, and run some drier vent flex piping to the mafs/intake.

how about one of those cone filter adapter thingy's for a talon on ebay? i think it adapts the maf so you can attach a cold air pipe and cone filter to it

probably. the only problem is there's hardly any room in the engine compartment on the 88-older colts. i thought about putting a cone filter inside the pass. side fender, but there's no room there, either.
