Post subject:  Anybody using a turbo blanket?

Trying to decide if a turbo blanket is the right way to go here and was wondering if anyone on the forum is using one? If so please let me know how it has worked out for you and what blanket you are using.

Thanks,

Im not using a turbo blanket on my colt, but I have the heat shield and some heat wrap around manifold. When I had my built civic, I had a custom manifold I made, the turbo was close so I used a turbo blanket on that. I'm not sure of the brand, I still have it laying around somewhere though. It helped cool things down though, complemented with other variables that helped. I did'nt see any ill-effects from using one.

Ancient thread but...

I used DEI's kit on my mitsu housing. It fits as perfectly as you're able to fit it. All said and done, I have enough material to do another mitsu turbo, I just need to buy some more of those metal ties.
