So as some of you have seen I have been asking alot of questions about the c10 4g63 swap. Well..... The time to swap is coming up. I will be trying todo a kinda step by step how to swap, already with the help from a few of you. I already would like to say thanks to deco_will_fly for the motor mounts, he was nice enough to send them up to me. I also wanna say thanks to miragesist for alot of ongoing help with the wiring. I will be getting pictures up as I get them.

So to start the platform is an 87 mirage turbo with 99k original miles from the original owner. The motor is out of my late 92 Galant VR4(RIP).
The motor:
6bolt
full Eagle bottom end
head port and polished
5 way valve grind w/3mm oversized valves
BC 264 cams
2nd Gen ported turbo mani
Evo 3 16g
Evo 3 O2 ported
Balance shaft removed
Egr deleted
Delete on all emissions crap
rc engineering 880cc injectors
2nd Gen tb elbow
2nd Gen mass w/dejon hard pipe turbo inlet
DSM link v2
apexi safc2 (for monitoring)
Turbo xs 2stage boost controller
probably more that I am forgetting. Needless to say I am excited for this awesome power to weight ratio
i will post more as I go along with the build . If there is anyone that has done this swap and has tips please share lol
Thanks everyone and happy motoring

Please keep a post with updates, I'd be very interested. Especially about the wiring, splicing the harnesses. Also, what cluster do you plan to use? The original Mirage turbo cluster? DSM? 3rd gen CSM?

I'm far from swapping mine, (not a turbo, but bought it and maintained it from 17k miles) funding and have to prep the body to last and look good before i drop anything in it. I have a turbo Mirage cluster in the car right now, plug and play. Everything works except the boost gauge obviously, but it would be nice to retain the stock cluster.

Looks like a civic half rad? The one in my C10 is a half radiator though.

Radiator is a Honda civic pretty much anyone from the 90's. Mine is for a 99 SI specifically cause it had a dohc instead of a single slammer.

I plan on using the stock cluster and plan on having everything work on it even though i have other gauges to monitor boost and whatever else i might need.

So far with the wiring I am planning on building my own swap connector probably a week before I pull the motor that way all I gotta do after I pull the engine is plug itt in and go. I will be doing the swap in a weekend do to the car being my daily driver. I will keep everyone updated as I go.

Is that the Mirage's interior harness connector you have pictured? Seems pretty straightforward if that's all you have to connect.

My real question is how did you lower your Mirage?! I've been dying to lower my Colt..

So the day has come!!! I drove her for the last time with the g32 lastnight to the guys house in which we are doing it at. I had the machine shop remove the balance shafts for me and put some new block plugs in it for me(410 machine in Buckley, WA would reccomend for DSMs!). I am grabbing the engine/ trans from the machine shop on my lunch break and running it over to the house so I can get started on it tonight. I will try and take as many pictures as I can and keep you guys updated on whats going on and what I run into along the way.

That pic is of the wiring harness for the engine, the female side is what I wired to my interior harness, I will get some pics up when I pull the dash again. As far as the lowering goes...Cut springs :supz: lol it might be a kinda bad way todo it but if you heat up the end of the coil that you cut and bend it to make if flat it works great. I havent had any problems with it and the ride is great not too bumpy.
