Dunno what u mean - u cannot read codes from this car. It has an ECM/ECU in the interior, under the heat radiator, it controls solenoids, O2 sensor, etc. I wonder if the tps is affecting the amount of fuel (its carbed), but else why is there a tps.. Maybe at certain throttle positions it gives false information -> too lean mixture -> causes engine to detonate?

Okay, so checked the tps, it works great. Next thing i'll do is to get a higher octane fuel.

Bought a tank of highest octane fuel and no changes. Still detonates if the vacuum wires are connected to their original places on the advance. No more ideas. Any suggestions?
