Anyone knows how to fix this problem? It started when the wheather got warmer within the last month or so. The car drives and idles fine when the weather was colder and in the morning when the engine is still cold. When it gets to operating temp, the engine would die if I take it out of gear and coast to a stop. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Any check engine lights?

I would suspect a MAF or throttle body issue.

No check engine light. I'll check the MAF, not sure about how to check the throttle body though.

Thank you!

With no CEL it sounds hard to pin down. I haven't come across that issue before. You check out: http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html they have some good information.

after you get the engine up to operating temp, check to see if there is white smoke. I had this same issue with a mirage and it turned out to be a blown head gasket.

I'm assuming the 2g cars have some sort of ISC motor on the throttle body? If so I would check that. It basically moves in and out to compensate for different conditions raising and lowering the idle when needed. This was the problem on a 90 GSX that I owned.

2g have no check engine light. Test for codes at the code reader port under the hood!

Could be idle switch, there aren't to many sensors/contorllers on these cars but if ones bad the ecu will display a code.
