Here are some items I collected for the new Colt project:
What do you think would be best for a daily driver and still occasionally dust a few RS4s and
Z08s?
It still needs to handle and I'm concerned the 4g63 will be too heavy on the c10 front end.
opinions welcome.
Options:
Built 4g61t
4g63t
evo III
2.3 stoker

I say go with a good ole 4g63t. I honestly can't see how it could be that much heavier than a 4g61t, if at all.

2.3 stroker will be ridiculous in a small car like that, you'll never get traction, you'll make it into a useless car.

EVO III motor isn't going to bolt in unless you do custom everything.

Everything Tony said, I agree with. I just want to add, that is a fine looking transmission. Was a little curious what you picked it up for, actually.

Did TRE put in a new shift shaft seal on your trans? Sometimes they don't do that and it will leak!!!! (I am just pointing out my experience with TRE's tranny rebuild). Just a heads up for you before you put the tranny back onto your car.

That sounds like an awesome deal on all that tranny work. Have fun with the project and keep us posted.

Hey Deco,
I've a trans you can have, I bought it from someone one this board. I was told it was good. It has
no markings, but looks like a KM210 but with a more modern bar code label on it. It might be
out of a newer Hyundai Elantra? If you want it you are welcome to it!

If Deco doesn't take it, I would be interested in it. I would gladly drive up there and take it off your hands.

Either of you are welcome to it. I'll take some pics of the trans this weekend and you can decide if you want it or not.

I believe I used:

Timing mount: 89 Turbo Colt (C50)
Front mount: 87 Turbo Colt (C10)
Rear mount 92 Elantra (One bolt hole needs to be modified) Contact me or Mirageist before you do this.
Trans mount: Maybe Turbo colt. Possibly 1/2 (trans side) Turbo Colt. 1/2 (chassis side)
87 Turbo C10. But I believe it was a Turbo Colt mount ( both Halves)

I'll thing more about it and get back to you.

Deco and Cap'n
Here are some pics of the km210 Trans. It is a 210 but may be not from a colt.
