I guess this is what you deal with, any time you mod a car. So I don't know if its the year, the motor and tranny mounts, or even the tranny, but I have the motor in, everything is ready just trying to figure out a way to run my intake and exhaust. That stuff will happen this weekend however I have another new problem. The motor from my 86 sedan, mounted to the 4 speed that came in the 88 2nd gen hatch, sits clocked forword a few degrees. Well that translates to about 3 in. Now it did give me some room I could really use, howeve now the intake on my turbo lines right up with my fan. So my solution, reverse the fan and put it on the front, can I do that? Also if its just the tranny, when I get a new trannyis it going to clock back. I want to be driving on Sunday so the quicker I get this info the better. Thanks, Benjamin

Are you using the mounts from the original turbo motor?

Ya that's kinda the problem, the undermount was to long, I tryed using the tranny mount to see if it would clock back and it didn't, so untill I find a tranny I am kinda stuck using all the mounts off the non turbo motor, sucks a little but I just need to know if it will work, like I said, I kinda like the room in the back. And I will be getting a new rad at some point , after I actualy drive it for a bit.

Just get a F5M22 or KM206 out of a talon or Galant, making sure its an early 90/91 donor. Also taking your axels with you to ensure they go into the tranny would be smart.
