Bad news from las vegas. So there it was, Friday, the hatch is prepd, and ready to drop in the motor. Well something didn't seem right to me so I was tring to turn the crank and I coudnt. So I decided to pull the head and check it out. Well with the head off, there it was, 2 rusted cyliders. So as I wiped the tears away from my face I found that when I rebuilt the head and put it back on the gasket didn't seal in 2 places and water leaked in. So the bad news I have to hone my block, and get new rings. The good news is its very little rust and no pitting, plus I know why the thing wouldn't run befor. So any way I got the 2 pistons out of the bad cylenders and I am ordering my ring kit tomorrow. Everything else is done and ready to go so once the motor is done, I am diving.

Hope it'll be fixed this time! Where do you order your rings? I saw some on ebay for a pretty decent price.

Ya I'm not waisting time this time around. If I had more time on my hands I could get a lot done, I am working at city cinter here in vegas and its crunch time to get this placew done on time to open so we just went on ot, I am here 7 days a week now 10 hours a day, but with a 25 to 2600$ check every week when I get done, I will be doing a mpi swap.

Hey Brother. Im IBEW too. Were slow, but steady busy. 8000 members, and 1000members on the list. Usually only a couple hundred on the list during the summer, which is busy season. Toronto Canada seems to be doing good for work up here in the ICI sector.
How many members in your local, and how many out of work?

I really don't know how many from our local because we normaly work more than 50% travalers. Right now however work is drying, the book I am on normaly only has a small hadfull of guys like under 20, on book one if any, and we put guys out on books 2 and 3 all the time, so now there is close to 100 guys on our book 1 and that is really bad news for us, our inside wireman book normaly has no one on book 1 but that book is quickly filling up. We are finishing up with the city cinter project now and then they predict there will likely not be enough work for the local members yet alone the 1000s off travalers we put to work. All good though, we are doinng good now.
