I've been running rallycross and didn't have the lower braket on the cat to support the weight of the turbo. Now I'm in search of a non cracked exhaust manifold.

Do any of you guys have one sitting around? I also need a starter but can probably find that locally.

Thanks!
-Tim

Wow, minty, with no visible cracks. That's a nice find. I have a couple of 88 version with cracks and am currently running one that's been welded and looks nasty but works. All the g32b turbo CSM is see now are 88s.

What year is that from?

I got a complete engine but not sure if it is an 87 or 88. I get parts off of it for my car as needed. I have an 88 car.

Yeah the 88s are supposed to be slightly different. The rotated the motor forward more on that model and the exhaust manifold is supposed to be a little different or shorter.

If you ever have a chance to compare the 88 vs 87 I think you may notice. Maybe the mounts are different too, but I don't think it makes much of a difference.

Quick update. It turns out I bought an 88 manifold from getboosted and my car is an 86, I found that out when I tried to bolt it up yesterday. It looks identical but j2adpo was spot on it' would rotate the turbo a little and place it about 2" lower :(

Do any of you guys need a perfect 88 manifold (or if getboosted is on here and would like it shipped back that's an option), I can take pictures of it if the ones Getboosted hosted are gone. I ended up putting my cracked one back on after breaking several exhaust studs and having to removed them from the head :( What a weekend.
