Is that MAF or MAP or does the Cavalier have both? Also, is the CSM/DSM TPS compatible with the Cavalier electronics?

What are you going to do about the crank trigger? Does the Cavalier have a tone wheel machined into the crank itself, unlike the CSM/DSM crank, or are you going to do some CAS magic? I once again apologize for the questions but I have never seen or heard of someone trying this before.

yea i know no one has tried or have even thought of it before or will after me

it has a crank trigger wheel pressed on one of the counter weights all i need to know is the
air gap between sensor and wheel and position of wheel in relation to number one

questions are fine bring them on maybe youll think of something i havent

(although i have been thinking about this for about 8 months)

Alright, so are you going to attempt to fit the GM tone ring to the Mitsu crank or are you going to attempt to machine the Mitsu crank to have teeth like the GM tone ring? Does the cavalier just not have a CAS at all?

Ok im taking the ring itself (its its own seperate part) and making external.

And no it doesnt have a cas the 98's do but even if it does have a cas i dont need it.
the only time its used is for start up it sync's the firing order faster if its not there its just
one full revolution for the computer to know where number one is

glad to see i have everyones attention

That sounds really cool. I can't wait to see the build pics. So you're going to press the tone wheel off the crank, and mount it on your harmonic balancer? I like how you think. Measure the depth through the hole in the block before you pull the crank from the 2.2L. Then just make the CKP sensor bracket adjustable for fine adjustments.

The donor's an ecotec engine right?
