Why do you keep posting in the 1st/2nd gen section? Don't you have an 89-92 body style?

To answer your question: Yes, you have to drop the tank to take out the fuel pump. You don't have to take it completely out of the car though.

then weres the spot for 3d gens then ? i only see 1'2 84-88 and 4th 93-96...im lost?
My car is a 1989.

this site is PRIMARLY 3rd gen's. lol.

this section, is only for the older gens since, and anything to do with them. all the other sections are mainly for your car. you even have sub sections. lol.

same with the 93+ section. its cause there/s not many, so they only get a single section really.
