yes, a wastegate, and bov are two different things. one is not the same as the other. wastegate bleeds off boost to control it by bypassing the turbo. bov releases pressure after the turbo. bov, (or at least a bypass) should really be on any turbo car. but the colt isnt the only one that never ran one stock. the GMC syclones/typhoons are the same way without one.
