craigslist. sweet deal.

its a odd model called the "carousel" which is white with a blue and (used to be) red pinstripe, interior in white vinyl with blue cloth and red stitching, a baby blue vinyl-top that is meant to feel like denim (not ripped, just starting to in the rain gutters in a few spots, but not bad)

no cracked plastic, no broken lenses, grille is good. front seats are starting to show age. original radio is gone, replaced with old aftermarket one, but they didn't cut the dash. speaking of the dash, it has two cracks in it which the 90-year old lady that originally owned it layered 1/2" of duct-tape over.

I bought it from the second owner, who had bought it for his daughter. she blew it up on the freeway and became afraid of the car after that so dad sold it.

it has a few parking lot dings, but overall the paint is shiny, and its complete.

heres the text from the ad, and the pics, since I haven't hauled the car home.

"I bought this car for my daughter last year. It has been a good starter car for her. However the engine just died and needs to be replaced. Otherwise the car is in great shape. There is no cancer and it has never been wrecked. We are the second owners, the original owner was a 90 year old woman out south. She gave the car a couple of good parking lot dings.

The car has less than 100k miles on it. I have not checked recently but I think there is around 75k. The car is nearly all orginial accept for the radio. Under the hood is clean and clear with all original factory stickers in place. The radio does not work and neither does the heater fan. The dash pad has some cracks and there are some wear tears on the front seats. Otherwise the interior is in great shape.

Comes with original owners manual, dealership brochure, and shop manual."

so the question...

will a FWD g32b bottom end swap underneath this "4g32", such as all the mounting points, etc?

sorry, its been a long while since I have dabbled in the mitsu realy, and never in the RWD area.

Wow man, that's a good find! That would actually be smog-exempt down here in Cali. What are your plans for the car?

the front and rear wheel drive balance shaft (what you have there) engine have (if i remember correctly) the same mounts and the engine with NO balance shafts like the one in the 84 through 88 g32b cars. beacause they were sold both with 1.6 n/a with shafts and 1.6 turbo no shafts

^^ I also believe that the 84-88 g32b will bolt in. I saw a 79 challanger with a rear wheel drive g32b which looked alot like my g32b block.

You could probably swap in a 4g6x into that thing too - IIRC miragist bolted a 4g63 onto his km206.

I can post some pics of the of my block to show you where the rear wheel drive mount points are if you like?

anything you want to post will be of help.

but this just in, the wife (who will drive most, I think) wants something with a little more power than stock.

how much power is stock 1975 g32b?

I am considering a 4g15 to stock auto, a 4g37 to stock auto, and possibly a boosted g32b to stock auto (see a pattern, here?)

the auto stays.

thanks guys!

so I picked up another 89 turbo, as well as a house payment since I got the 75. now I want a motor for the 89, so this thing is officially for sale or trade for a 4g63t.

PM me for details.
