Greetings all - I have been a Mitsu fan for awhile - I have had 5 starions, have 3 Monteros, and LOOKING for a 1989 Turbo Mirage or Colt GT in pristine condition - preferably silvier but will consider anything in great condition. Also have access to a '89 Turbo Mirage parts car (engine & ecu gone). Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear hatch spoiler?

Hello and welcome nagual.

I posted in the for sale wtb forum concerning inputting a location to your profile. Helps us help you.

Be aware the 1990 cars were never turbo, at least on this continent. 1989 MY (built 1988/1989) were the only 4g61t cars in the US and Canada; C53a. Other models like the Summit GS had higher end clusters like the turbo car but with white type faces, but they had a 1.6L NA version of the 4g61.

Welcome to the site, do us a favor and put your city in your profile, it's a small price to pay  actually it's free and helps you and us.

The wing can be removed via the holes on the inside top of the hatch, you'll have to pull the trim and expose the holes, stick a deep socket (10mm) on an extension in there and they'll come off. The rest is just plastic push rivets, just pull up.

Could you grab the VIN info for the Registry, from the turbo Mirage you have access to?
B pillar door jamb plate info, VIN confirmed on dash plate, firewall code and firewall plate info, exterior color (original color should be close to engine bay color). Yard where located (PM info is probably best).
Vin will have a "z" in it, or it isn't a turbo car.
Thank you for adding a location and Mechacode is spot on with the roof spoiler instructions!
