Apologies for reviving a old post, but I've been following this guide and ran into a snag. The wires from my 3g shifter (taken from a 2003 Spyder) have different colored wires than the author indicated (black, blue, white, red/white, red, and yellow). Has anyone attempted this install and ran into the same issue? I haven't been able to find any wiring documentation for this shifter. Thanks, |

My advice is to get a shop print you out the page with the shifter and transmission wiring diagram contained in ProDemand from Snap-on. Anyone with access to the program can take a screen shot and send it to you, as well. Or try this: https://www.club3g.com/threads/2003-200 ... nk.141363/ |

Thanks. I disassembled the 3g shifter wiring and determined what each wire does: Black - common wire for mode selection Red/white - auto shifting mode Blue - manual shifting mode Red - common wire for shifting Yellow - up shift White - down shift I connected power from the TCU harness to black, TCU power to red/white, shift box power to blue, and red to ground (the DSM-Plus2 shift box doesn't come with a white/black wire). Yellow and white connect to the shift buttons. This setup accomplished what the original poster had done. Hopefully this helps someone else with this setup. NW |
