The front diff mount can definitely be beefed-up the 2g style. At this point, I am more interested in getting the car to ready for DSM shootout. I will deal with breaking drivetrain parts as they break ;).

I can see the calipers in one of your pictures. I just never seen them in person, so I am curious what they look like. So does your van have ABS?

Did you get factory tach to work? If so, how did you do it?

I put a dsm tach into the van cluster. Its actually the right size for the hole, Only problem is the color is a different.

Why wouldn't you use the stock tach? That's our plan.

What did it do when you tried it?

Micah has been out of town and I have been swamped with work. I did manage to break off a gallardo and F430 spider with the colt this last weekend. Thumbs up from the gallardo guy and a you shot my dog look from the guy in the F430.

Round 6: Getting Close...

Going to keep this short and sweet and let the pics speak for themselves.

Thankfully Dan had this tach adapter lying around so we could get the tach working (the 4G64 has a distributor so the tach signal needs to be converted). You can see where we wired it to the coil. The yellow wire runs to the tach signal wire on the chassis harness that I pointed out on the clip below. There was also a small 10mm bolt hole on the end of the intake manifold where the wiring harness runs. I had to drill out one mounting hole of the tach adapter a little but it fit perfect and is now almost entirely out of sight.

Mocking up the IC piping.

This is behind the passenger headlight. There is already a small square hole here that is covered w/ a factory plastic piece. I removed the plastic and enlarged the hole by about 1". Makes me wonder if this is a hole utilized for something specific to the JDM cars.

Image

Welded and painted flat black to keep it more sleeper-esque. It is tough to see, but in the second pic you may notice the slim electric fans I'm using. They are able to be used as push or pull so I converted them to push and mounted them just behind the intercooler.

Image

Boost pressure sensor for the Zeitronix (not as sleeper as I'd like it to be but it works for now).

Image

Here's a shot of everything almost completely buttoned up in the engine bay. Not the best place for the filter but it works for now!

Image

I'll get some more shots and video once we sort out the few minor things we need to address. Stay tuned...

Looking good, can't wait to get started on my 94 fwd that I just picked up. No real plans other than getting it drivable for now.
