Well, remember that you are talking to a guy who ran 11.6 on the 14b in a DSM ;). I love that little turbo! It is VERY under appreciated! But it isn't about a turbo, but rather supporting mods/tuning and driving!

The funny part is that I haven't really gotten around to tuning this set-up! It is standard ECM Tuning settings, which shows just how good it is, out of the box ;)

Based on my experience, I beleive that 11.9's are feasable with better tuning/driving and some race gas!

Just got some videos of 12.4 runs.

Unfortunately I am done with racing for the season.

I love watching these things get down. Makes me laugh so hard just because of the obsurdity of a Japanese micro-van busting off 106 trap speeds and 12.4 ets. So many props for a sweet DL!

Thanks Shaun! Everyone keeps telling me about the crowd reaction to the van. I will have to have a friend drive it some time, so that I can experience it first hand :)

You can hear it in the video. At least it is a good reaction. Usually people are asking me what kind of Civic I have when I pull back into staging with my LX Sedan....

My buddy was in the stands when i raced. There were some young guys poking fun at it saying who the hell would bring a van to race. But then when they see it leap off the line its the best thing they ever seen.

So... I had a chance to review my logs... Who can notice 4 degrees of knock retard on that first run? I have never seen it THAT obvious!

That thing needs some actual tuning ;)

It wasn't continuous, mostly through 3rd gear and then 3 deg in the 4th gear.

But you can really see the car slow down right after 2/3 shift!!!

I pulled a bit of timing for the 2nd run and you just see it pull better! There was no knock. 2nd run would have been 12.3 if I didn missed 3/4 shift

Man, I hate pump gas :)

Just kidding! What are you looking do with it now? Is it a daily or your current toy?

It is going to be my daily driver/race car when weather is nice. I am definitely keeping it out salt/snow. :)

But next on the list to do:

Connect the ISC (I HATE driving without it!).
Install a newer wideband
Install a new(er) front bumber cover.

Once those are done, I will dyno it and do some real tining. I am curious how much power I have been making and how much more I can push out of the 14b. I suspect high 11's are very doable.

I gave Gary a perfect bumper cover that I had pulled before I sold it but he didn't want to haul it back to Pa so he threw it in the dumpster at the motel  . It was a different color so I never installed it.
