Here's what you begin with, hard to believe that orange piece is just sitting in there [img:1cwbxsmo]http://lilevo.com/mods/fblink/jdmready.jpg[/img:1cwbxsmo] Pull the lens out by pushing out these tabs. You only have to pry open the part of the lens where the orange piece is under, not the whole lens [img:1cwbxsmo]http://lilevo.com/mods/fblink/tab.jpg[/img:1cwbxsmo] Pull out the orange piece and seal everything up with some black gasket maker [img:1cwbxsmo]http://lilevo.com/mods/fblink/orange.jpg[/img:1cwbxsmo] More Mirage mods can be found here [url:1cwbxsmo]http://lilevo.com/mods/body_mods.html[/url:1cwbxsmo] |

cool, I was gonna put an amber 12-LED 1157 replacement in there & wire it for turn signals too (getting rid of the front rectangle signals). I think it will look better & shine brighter with that amber plastic removed. nice going. -vic |

The best way I found to under take the procedure is put the lenses in the oven for 5 mins on a piece of tin foil at 200-250 and removoe the orange put them back in the oven for another 3 mins or so that heats up the glue and press back together good as new.... |
