We've all seen this doc before just moving it to the FAQ. I think this will proove handy for newbies.

Ok Over the past few months I've ran several different strut configs on may car all cobinations involving KYB GR2 Struts and I will present my findings on how each strut effects the car...

1G AWD Talon - The strut perch is about 2" lower than the stock M/C/S Perch so if you run this strut and run stock springs the car will be about 2 inches lower in the rear. And the large bottom bushing is a pain. You have to remove the bushings from your OE struts and insert them inside the AWD bushing on the strut. You will get alot of clicking in the rear end of the car (Especially if you have a large speaker box or friends riding in the back seat) (very annoying) to avoid the clicking weld that bushing in place.

1G FWD Talon - At least the bushing is the right size but the perch is probably 4-5" lower than the stock M/C/S perch don't even put these on (not even as a joke)

3G Mirage - Well these work as designed an direct OE replacment much stiffer than stock (dead stock struts at that)

1G Talon (AWD or FWD their the same) The strut perch is about 1" higher the stock M/C/S Perch so if you run this strut and run stock spring the car will be about an inch higher in the front. But is VERY stiff when using the stock springs (got an extra inch of Compression) Works well very responsive. I'm happy but the car just doesn't sit level.

3G Mirage Well these work as designed an direct OE replacment much stiffer than stock

Moral of the story if you want to use KYB AGX use the AWD in the rear weld the bushing in place. Use the 1G Talon up front and use a set of GC coil overs to make the car sit level. From there you should be in good shape. And for your safety don't be an idiot and cut your springs your only asking for trouble and acting like a honda owner at the same time. (and none of us want that)

And if you don't want to run coil overs and want the car to be level the buy the 3G Mirage GR2's

Hope this saves someone some work....

At least you know what your in for when you bolt them in...
