Post subject:  Superpro Bushing Question's

I have been looking into getting some SuperPro Bushings for my '89 GT. After doing some "l33t web searching", I was finally able to figure out why I can't find the 3g Mirage in SuperPro's catalog. This is because its listed as a Mitsubishi Lancer CA, CB Sedan 9/88-9/92. After figuring that out and cross referencing some of the numbers from Evol-Art, I came across some bushings Jason didn't list for sale (or rather, he just listed one option of it). The bushing that I am referring to is:

Front Control Arm Lower-Rear Inner Bushing SPF1714K "Standard"

That is what is listed on his website. Well, there are apparently two other options for this bushing, both with different offsets. The part numbers are as follows:

Front Control Arm Lower-Rear Inner Bushing SPF2025K "Single Offest"
Front Control Arm Lower-Rear Inner Bushing SPF2026K "Double Offset"

Now, my question is, what does this offest do? Does it just help with toe or something? I can't really see it doing anything else.

If you want to look for them yourself, or if you don't have a GT you can visit these two sites:

Control Arm Lower - Front Bush SPF1160K
Control Arm Lower - Rear Bush SPF1140K - PS & DS standard caster setting " Not GSR "

Found it here:

So I figured that I should just stick with the "standard setting", but I'm curious about the "not GSR". I was under the impression that any GSR model is equivalent to a Turbo one here? Also, if I were to switch to the Elantra control arms with the bolt in ball-joint, would I be looking to purchase the control arm bushing for the rear that you listed. Cause I thought the SPF1140K was for the non-turbo model, which wouldn't be compatible with my '89 GT, but would want to be used with the Elantra control arms?

That bushing works on the tubo control arm you just need to swap your bracket to a non turbo style bracket and yes its totally ok for an elantra control arm.... I run a set on my elantra...

Anyone have a reliable source to buy these bushings?

Does anyone actually carry them or do they need to be shipped over?

I'm wondering the same thing. I'd love to be able to purchase a complete bushing set for my C53A.

I emailed AMS. They should be able to hook me up and they are listed as a supplier. I'll keep you posted.

I will be doing these along with new bearings/Chris Burns Wilwood brake kit sometime this year.

I think tein.com is one of their partners here in the US. i've been looking on their products but just can't get the right part # number for the CSM on their bushings.

That is where I got my set of Superpros, Jesse is a good guy to deal with.

Jesse at Revolution helped to bail out the group buy that went south (due to shady behaviour on the part of EvolArt, not related to Revolution Motorsports). A plus in my books.

Both companies, Evol-Art and Revolution Motorsports, no longer exist and should not be doing business any longer.

Money still owed to forum members here, and now Cal-Guns. Edit Jan. 2014
