Post subject:  Fitting a JDM Front Bumper to your car.

The bumpers that Tom produces are beautiful and they fit quite well. But with your currect steel bumper they do not fit as the turn signals sit at a different offset in the new cover. This leaves you with 2 choices for fitting it.

1. Remove the old bumper cover (not fun) and remove the bumper 6 - 17mm bolts I believe. throw it away and put on the JDM cover. See Bumper Attachment

2. Remove the bumper on the top you will see a lip where the old cover used to bolt into take your handy dandy Saw-z-all with a 6 inch blade chop right behind that lip all the way around (angle grinder will not work too well as there is about 6 or 8 metal brackes inside the bumper) After you chop that off you will have to do minor timing around the turn signals still but after that to cover should go on smothly. See Bumper Attachment.

Bumper Attachment:

To make sure the bumper fits securely you would use the 2 bolts in the wheel well the 2 lower ones will not fit new brackets will have to be made. Also my bumper is also attached using several self tappping screws I drilled through the the trim peice that is below the grill and head lights.

Driving/Fog Lights:

If I remember properly the hole in the bumper is 7.5"x3.5"
I bought Bosch "Pilot150" driving lights to go in holes You will have to make small brackets and weld/bolt them to the bumper (Another good reason to keep the bumper) Run your wring and thats it.
