I would say yes - To put the ecu into logging mode you connect those two wires you mentioned. |

How do all you guys know how to make the cable just from looking at the schematic? My friends and I all looked at it and we have no clue what the means. I wan't to make a cable for my 91 talon. Aslo I thought there were supposed to be three wires in the cable? Thanks, Brian |

There are three wires at the datalogger end, ony two at the palm end as one of the wires splices into two... making three wires. |

Does anyone have a pic of the whole cable and a close up on the ends for a palm? |

Hey guys thanks for all your help I got it working. I figured out what my problem was I am using pocketlogger software and with that you have to switch pins 2&3 then it will work. Now if i could just get it to work with my sony clie that would be nice. I have been testing it with a friends palm because I know it works. Anyone useing this cable with a sony clie? I think I am going to try and make my own serial cable and see if that will make it work. |

There is a list of compatible devices on the mmcd stie (or teh pocket logger site if you are using pocket logger software) It depends on what palm os the pda uses. Mike |

Nope - but if you are adjusting timing - you have to disconnect it. |

Have you started logging? Start up mmcd, open a new log and unpause... |

yep. did that. car's running. unpaused (selected sensor's flashing down in the bottom left). just no data coming in. the switching diode has to go in a certain way, right (ie: it can't go backwards)? mine has the little band on the side farther from the palm (if that makes sense)...is that wrong? please and thanks guys. |
